Black spot on iPhone 11 screen

Hi,

I recently got my iPhone 11 and noticed that the lower right of the screen have a dark spot/black shadow. It sometimes goes away after restarting the device. But it’s been happening more recently after I updated to the IOS 13... Is this something Apple will repair?

I had an iPhone 7 for 3 years and never came across this problem before.

thanks in advance!

I also have this problem with an iPhone 11. A large dark shadow bottom left of screen about 3cm in diameter. Happened after 3 days. Resetting did not clear it.

I returned it to the Apple authorised store from where I had purchased it.

They looked at me with suspicion and the sales rep. then spent 15 minutes examining the phone, taking pictures of it and typing a lot.

They just assumed that I had dropped it.

I was told that I would hear back from them in 48 hours.

I haven’t and that’ s now 3 days ago.

So here’s the scenario:

Purchased a new iPhone 11. It was faulty. Store assumed no responsibility. I feel they have almost insinuated that I am at fault. I now have no phone, Apple aut. store has not refunded me.

I am not sure of my consumer rights here but I feel like they’ve been violated.

I note that the reply above form a community specialist says it should be evaluated for service. No, it shouldn’t. It’s a new phone, that at the time of writing is at best only a few months old. It’s obviously a fault and it should be replaced not ‘evaluated’,

Fyi, iPhone 11 bought a couple months ago, recently lower left corner darker at random times when I unlock, then goes away after a little while. No idea why it happens, or why/how it goes away. You are not alone folks. If it starts not going away, or happens more often, or lasts long enough to annoy me more, then I’ll have to take it in. Problem is, the won’t be able to recreate it, so uh, well. 🤔

Same problem here, I have my iPhone 11 for less than 3 weeks and this morning I woke up and the dark spot appeared on the lower right corner, I read this thread and restarted the phone and the spot went away. But it seems like apple is having a problem with iPhone 11 screen because I’ve seen quite a few threads about this problem. They spots may not be identical but they are there so! I hope this won’t be an issue in the future but if it is what are the solutions? Note: I did not drop the phone not once and the spot appeared suddenly.

Also what I found odd is if you take a screenshot of the dark spot, it does not show up in the pic. It kept happening more often, so I set up a genius bar appt. of course it didn’t happen since, and tech ran an mri and no problems. Couldn’t Recreate . Was told to set up another appt if happens again. So far so good, hasn’t happened since I called to set up the appt. 🤞

I have the dark spot on the lower left edge of my iphone11. I did not drop it. The spot started out small (about 1" x 1"). Now its been 3 months and it's easily double that. Turning the phone off and on does not help. If it keeps getting larger, I will go to the nearest Apple store - although, by reading the text from these other threads, it probably won't help.

Anybody know of a solution???
