Restore only iMessages from iCloud Backup

Good day Community,

As opposed to wiping the new iPhone via a Restore from Backup action, in iOS 13 is it possible to restore or copy or deliver only iMessages to a new iPhone?

A DuckDuckGo search brings up plenty third-party software tools that propose to accomplish this, but I would rather not permit third-party apps such access.

I figured out how to "restore" Contacts by selecting all and sending via iMac Airdrop.

Is there a similar iOS or OS X based workaround for iMessages?

TIA

If you are using iCloud Syncing for Messages, your messages aren't even in your back up. You should be able to restore the messages by logging into the same Apple ID.
