Browser Display bug after IOS13 update

Hello,

i have frequent white blank page at any IOS 13 browsers on Iphone 7 plus.

The bug happens when I scrolled up or down thru any webpage which contain multiple objects, such as photo, text, and video.

i tried it on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. They all have same issue.

This bug also happen on my other Iphone X.

The only workaround is to use reading mode.

I tried the same webpage on my IpadOS, but I the bug is not present.

The page that I tried was Tomshardware.com. There you may find any article, and try to scroll down and up, and can see whether the page will blink and become blank.

Any solution to this issue will be appreciated.

regards,

Chris

I’m having to log onto this forum via chrome on my iPhone because on my iPhone 11 Pro, this blank screen happens when I hit the “more” button.

i have the latest iOS.

I’m a software developer and this is definitely a glitch with your WebKit implementation in Safari. It appears as if, when the content of a div is larger then the screen, the div does not render. Going through other pages I often find only half the page is rendered until I’m able to scroll then *poof* it appears. Other pages nothing shows up at all.

Maybe this is part of the new browsers optimization engine where it does render things off-screen, but frankly this is killing me. As a Java developer I stayed with iPhone because it was reliable. More reliable then android. This OS is making me rethink that. This issue has to be fixed NOW, and if more important then the little toys you seem to be adding.

Hello Christianxu.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that when going to www.tomshardware.com that you get a white blank page using Safari, Chrome, and Firefox on your iPhone X and iPhone 7 Plus using iOS 13. This doesn’t occur in iPadOS. I’m happy to help.

Let’s use the steps here to restart your devices: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support Are you able to access the content on the website after restarting?

Take care.

Welcome back Christianxu.

I understand that you have reset your iPhone and still unable to display the content from the webpage. Apple has several resets, can you tell me which reset you did i.e. reset all settings, reset network settings, or erase all settings and content?

Apple has recently released iOS 13.1.2. If you have not done so already, please use the steps here to back up your content and update: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Take care.

this is the same problem with iOS 13.3 in both my iPhone 8 and iPad Pro, and the most recent update did not solve it. The described problems in this chat are happening with my Safari and Firefox app.

How can this not be obvious to the idiots that tested and released iOS 13?!?!?!

  • There’s often a blank page on a clicked search result. Sometimes a forced scroll will make it load
  • search result pages will suddenly scale the view size up on the iPad
  • search result pages will hang half way down the screen and be white unloaded space at the bottom, and will refuse to scroll
  • search result pages will not preload, and will instead load and unload 3/4 of the screen as it is scrolled up or down respectively
  • closing a TAB window is the only reset, and a new tab is “clean”. The problem tends to arise from cumulative activity on a single tab.
