Trouble Reloading Mac OS

I am on OS 10.14.6 on my iMac its date is late 2015. I would like to reload the OS and I am holding down command + option + P

I mange to get the spinning globe but the screen never goes to the left hand corner to check then disks or reload the software. Instead the globe goes away and it Starts to Lold the OS from the disk.

I am having a hard time booting up the Mac and would like to reload the Os. One of the help article say that I can rebuild from the built in recovery disk. But I am not sure I have that ability

Any help is appreciated

Okay, please use a wired keyboard. Any USB keyboard will work.

On startup hold down Command + C and boot into the Recovery Partition, you can install Mac OS from there.

You have to continue holding down the keys until the computer starts up, are you doing that??

The first time I tried I held down the two keys right after the chime then I just tried again and held down the two keys befit the chime. I both instances I help both keys until a normal screen came up asking me for my password which I entered and -- it was a normal login

I was surprised to learn that Os 10:15 was available yesterday afternoon and I did down load it. So I have afresh operating system. In the future I will remember to use a wired keyboard if I should need to download a refreshed operating system

Thank you for the suggestion I tried holding down command and c and my computer loaded as usual
