32-bit QuickTime Pro 7 is still an Essential Tool for Film Industry Professionals

I work in visual effects, in feature films. There is not one colleague I know who hasn't kept their QuickTime Pro 7 and set all .mov files to open with 7 instead of 10. Being able to make quick clips using the in and out arrows is essential. And the killer: when Apple moved the controls over the image, it made 10 virtually unusable for film industry professionals. Help! Isn't there any way Apple could bring back the functionality of Pro 7? What will happen is a whole bunch of industry folks are going to hold-off upgrading from Mojave, in order to keep their QuickTime Pro 7 functional.
