Disable File Sharing when using Screen Sharing

Hello,

I'm running a MacPro (Late 2013) with MacOS Mojave 10.14.5 as server. Only few people have acces to it and its only via Screen Sharing. We got an audit and now we need to disable File Sharing when users are connected via Screen Sharing due to security reasons.

Is there a way to achieve this? I've only seen this related post: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/135980/os-x-10-9-screen-sharing-disable-file-transfer, but it's an old post and can't risk it. I hope we can find a solution

Thanks.

Hello, Hivezga.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that you'd like to change File Sharing preferences while Screen Sharing is in use.

To prevent a folder from being shared or to restrict access, the following article provides more information: Set up file sharing on Mac - Apple Support

You can find additional screen sharing preferences, such as Observe Mode, in the following macOS guides:

Share the screen of another Mac - Apple Support

Turn Mac screen sharing on or off - Apple Support

For additional remote management capabilities, such as installing and configuring apps, helping remote users, and creating detailed reports, you can purchase Apple Remote Desktop from the App Store. Apple Remote Desktop is used to remotely manage Mac computers in a commercial or business environment: Allow Apple Remote Desktop to access your Mac - Apple Support

For more information, reach out to Apple Support here: Contact - Official Apple Support

Take care.
