IOS 13 - email loading slowwwwly

Any solution to the email app loading messages slowly - it takes ~5 seconds after you open the app, emails then become visible within the app?

This only started after updating to IOS 13.

Some good new features, but basic usability is worse for me in an app I use all the time. I have an iPhone 7 Plus. Yes, I know the new 10's run faster. My 7 Plus has been great until this upgrade.

Thanks for any tips. Is this something that will be fixed in an update?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I see you're having trouble getting the Mail app to load quickly since updating, and I can definitely appreciate why that would be a problem. First of all, try simply forcing the Mail app to quit: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Also try restarting the iPhone: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Lastly, be sure there aren't any pending updates to the iPhone itself: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support or to any third-party apps in the App Store: Update apps or use automatic downloads - Apple Support.

I have this exact same problem running a brand new iPhone 11 Pro. I will get notifications that I have new emails, go into the mail app and nothing. It will take sometimes over 5 seconds for them to appear. Or I have to drag down from the top to manually refresh it which still takes several seconds. It never used to be like this.

My phone is up to date and freshly rebooted. On opening of the Mail app, it takes approximately 5-7 seconds to display email messages. This never happened prior to iOS 13. Your UX is going backward. Any plans to update slow loading mail messages in an iOS 13 point release update?

It's iOS 13 that is the source of the slow loading mail messages. Worked beautifully before on all IOS versions prior to 13.... no time lag. As soon as I updated to iOS 13, my mail messages load very slowly.

Thank you. I know there are more than the 4 people on this thread that have similar issues are experiencing this.
