How to create a hyperlink in iPad mail client?

I've been searching for ways to add hyperlinks to my e-mail messages, but can't seem to find any help. Anyone know how to do this?

Ipad, iOS 4, MacBook Pro

I believe if you paste in links or type them out using the http:// it should generate hyperlinks automatically.

Thanks. It was simpler than expected. One more question...can you tell me how to create a hypertext in my e-mail messages for the iPad?

By Hypertext you mean a hyperlink that is using text with the hyperlink underline rather than the http:// address itself? I don't think you can in mail, there might be a third party mail application that would allow you though.
