Sidecar iPad Air 2

Hi guys,

Just moved to Catalina, was excited to use Sidecar on my iPad Air 2 - but now it seems you've decided to drop support for this at the last minute? What's the story, will this be introduced at a later date? Really annoying if you've decided to leave it out of support, by all accounts it was supported during the beta stages.

Any feedback greatly appreciated.

I have been looking forward to use sidecar on my iPad air 2 since the release of Catalina. That is the reason I keep following all the apple news recently even I am really busy. Words can not describe how disappointed I am right now.

Thanks for that. I was sure it was supported in beta based on some articles I read, seems I'm wrong. I think the assumption people made was that any device capable of running iPadOS would support Sidecar, clearly its not the case. Shame, was looking forward to that.

Actually it was supported with both first beta builds of macOS and iPadOS. It worked wonderfully well when it worked and I'm really annoyed they went back on this. I thought the following builds were just broken and waited impatiently for the full final release, and now here we are...

Gutted. For what it's worth I was under the same impression. I had also read articles staying they'd support the iPad Air 2. See the top post here...

But Apple giveth and Apple taketh away. I've learned that much after 15 years in the Apple Garden.

Shame. I didn't have a reason to upgrade my iPad before now.
