My God, Apple. We all agree. We are not all 6 year old children. The unicorn emojis are terrible; they are in the way & are MOST CERTAINLY NOT, I repeat NOT “frequently used!” Get rid of them or allow your users to remove them. I’ve been, thus far, willing to pay your outrageous prices so please refrain from forcing me to put up with your inane idea of progress!

Its the emoji categories along the bottom ribbon (clock=frequently used), and it saves your setting so you dont have to see the silly unicorns every time u go to emojis 😂😎👍

Oh, and I never said that “young people” shouldn’t be able to use the phone as they wish. What I said is I should be able to adjust these ancillary features to my use as well.
Then you bought into the wrong devices! Apple has rarely succumbed to the rants.

Unfortunately there isn’t a way to delete them, but you can try installing a third party keyboard app like Gboard or SwiftKey from the App Store.

In Messages Emoji can be removed.
On iOS 13.2 > Messages > new message > scroll the horizontal icons bar > tap the three dots... and you could manage or delete Emoji.
You may be able to find a 3rd-party Emoji keyboard on the app store that is customizable.
That removes all of them, not particular ones.
