clean my Mac?

Is it advisable to some type of Mac Cleaner software before installing Catalina?

No. It's never advisable to install or run "cleaning" software on a Mac.

You're welcome. It can't hurt to do a clean install but of course you will have to reinstall any apps you have and restore any data. I almost never do a clean install unless I run into an issue. I didn't do clean installs of Catalina on my Macs.

OK thanks. Is it helpful to do a clean install of Catalina or does it not make sense to do that?
