Using Calendar to Open Automator script file

I created an Automator script to update/download transactions for Quicken and scheduled a recurring Calendar event to open the file at 0600 every day after the Mac wakes. The script works as expected and newly downloaded transactions are waiting to be reviewed when I get to the Mac, However, Calendar is also executing the scheduled event immediately after the Mac is awakened from periodic sleep sessions throughout the day. If the Mac is sleeping, I wake it, a calendar notification is generated again and the script executes again. This is repeatable for as many times as the Mac sleeps throughout the day. I've reviewed everything and can not see where Calendar is getting the command to execute the scheduled task again.

Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions?
