IOS upgrade caused draft messages to be deleted

I recently upgraded to the latest version of the IOS 13. I had about 10 draft messages in my email app waiting to be sent. After the upgrade, these draft messages are all either gone and/or replaced with draft messages that just "New Message" in the title and are blank. I really need to get those drafts back, and they do not appear on me email client either. Since these were started/generated on the iPhone, the email client does not save them.

Please help if you know how to retrieve them.

According to level 2 support, the new IOS is very different than the prior version, and things like fonts and others are not compatible. Likely that is why you can't see them. I was asked to do a backup of my phone, wipe it clean, and then load the prior backup (if you have one) to try and get those emails. I warn you NOT TO DO THAT. When I backed up my phone on iTunes, which I do on a monthly basis, it did not create a separate backup, instead it overwrote that prior backup that had these messages. That was a MISTAKE to suggest that idea. If you have a backup made prior to the IOS upgrade that you think would have these drafts, do not erase that. As far as how to recover them..... still waiting for an answer but I believe all mine are gone. Hope this helps you not have the same results I did.
