Is my iPhone 7 Plus compatible with Verizon?

I recently bought a IPhone 7 Plus from my daughter and I was trying to use it as my phone but it’s not letting me. Is this IPhone not compatible with Verizon?

The iPhone 7 and 7+ models sold for use on AT&T and T-Mobile are not compatible with CDMA carriers such as Sprint or Verizon.

If She was using it on AT&T or T-Mobile, chances are it is not compatible with Verizon's network.

Sounds like the device is still locked to the last carrier and only they can unlock it.

No.

It's still locked to the last carrier and that's why the new carrier sim will not work.

If it was ATT, then that phone will not work with Verizon as noted.
