Adware, malware, and browser-issues (not viri) are things a user can acquire if not careful while online.

I got infected with 6 unwanted virus. I downloaded some mixtapes on a website call DatPiff. As soon as I clicked download, it sent me through another third party site, which then gave me a warning sign saying: your Mac maybe infected and you must contact an IT Specialist to get it scanned and repaired. I contacted a European IT tech, Paid for their service, and didn't get nothing out of it. Its like I wasted money on a software that didn't do any repair on it. So I need your help, do you suggest I take my brand-new Mac to Apple store to solve this problem?
