Fan noise 24 hours after SMC reset

My internal fan has been going on in my mid 2011 27in iMac. I've done a SMC reset several times only to have the fan go on again somewhere between 24-36 hours later. Activity monitor shows no overuse and temp seems fine even when fan is on. The SSD drive WAS NOT REPLACED. Any ideas to resolve this issue.

iMac fan constantly runs at full blast I recently got a 21.5" Mid 2010 iMac from eBay, and in the listing it stated that one of the fans constantly runs at full blast. When I use the iMac, the fan starts at 100% as soon as the chime plays and it stays at 100%. I tried resetting SMC and any other generic fixes that I could find on google. High Fan Speed Fan on 2020 27" Intel i7 iMac w. 1 TB SSD suddenly goes on at high speed, even though it's not hot. Once it happened on start up. Have to shut down to stop it. Have tried resetting SMC but it has re-occurred again, albeit briefly. Is there a fix for this?
