Since updating to Catalina, My bluetooth speakers keep disconnecting.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that Bluetooth speakers aren't working after updating to Catalina. I'll do what I can to help.

Try the suggestions here:

• Check for any interference: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference
• Try these suggestions from Logitech: My Logitech Bluetooth device frequently gets disconnected or laggy - Logitech Support + Download
• Try connecting another Bluetooth device to see if the same thing happens. If not, reach out to Logitech: Submit a request - Logitech Support + Download
• If connecting another device has the same issue, also be sure to check your Mac in safe mode: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support You can also try a new user as well: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac - Apple Support
  • If it only happens in your user and not in safe mode, try removing login items: Open items automatically when you log in on Mac
  • If it happens in both safe mode and a new user, back up your Mac and reinstall macOS using Recovery: How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery

I have the same issues after updating to the latest Catalina. There are a lot of threads with the same problems that probably needs to be addressed.

I've got a Bose Quietcomfort 35 and Apple Airpods that keeps dropping out after a few seconds which is pretty annoying.

Done all the things that are supposed to do such as deleting plists, reseting PRAM but none of them changes anything.

Hope that can be fixed soon.

I have the same problem. Also went through the same fix suggestions but didn't help. Seems like a cover explanation for a bigger issue.

I use Jaybird X4 bluetooth headset. Never had this problem before. (Apple please don't start reducing your software quality and suggest fixes you know don't work)

I'm having the same issues. Catalina is the worst Mac OS I've ever used. For the first time considering using Windows.

It's very annoying. My Airpods are always connected but if don't listen to anything it changes to the iMac internal speakers or just disconnects. With my MX Master mouse from Logitech it always starts disconnected. It never happened with Mojave.

Just did the latest update yesterday, still Bluetooth problems! Why is this happening? Such a fundamental feature of an OS.
