Shortcut for alarm and low volume

I can easily make a shortcut (iPhone) to toggle an alarm at a certain time of the morning, but I'd like to have the volume set to very low, like 15%, when the alarm goes off, and that's the part that I can't get to work. The alarm goes off at full volume, probably because when I ask Siri to actuate the shortcut, the alarm is set to full. I've tried it with the Volume action placed above AND below the Alarm action. Any ideas?

(Sorry for the behemoth screenshot...)

Hey there trebber,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you want to adjust the volume for your alarms created with Siri Shortcuts. I’ll be happy to help with this.

You may not be able to do this with Siri Shortcuts but you may want to look over the Shortcuts User Guide to see if there are any tips there that can help you with this:

If you don’t see any option there, you may just have change the volume before going to bed or before the alarm goes off. You can read more about this here:

Thank you for the double response and the nifty links! Sadly, though the Shortcut does indeed toggle the alarm and set the volume to 10% (apparently), the alarm still goes off at full volume. The lowered volume setting only affects media that may currently be playing when the Shortcut is activated, not the global, what I'd call "System" volume.

I also created an "Automation" with the actions triggered by a "time of day", in my case, "At 10 pm, set the volume to 10% and toggle the alarm", but, sadly, it's even worse. What I get is a notification banner on my screen for a few seconds that, if I'm fast enough to catch, I have to tap, then I have to tap "Run", (what part of "Automation" am I not gripping?) and it still does not affect the volume of the alarm. This irritating process is well documented on Reddit by other similarly disgruntled iPhone users, BTW. Maybe Apple should rename the button in the Shortcuts app from Automation to Irritation.

Just a thought.
