Logic Pro with Motu 2408 mkII ?

I'm using LP7 with a motu 2408 mkII interface. At the moment I can only transfer 8 tracks at a time. I want to be able to transfer at least 16 tracks using the motu via optical input. Do I need to create more busses in L7 to achieve this?

Thanks

first - you would go to your PCI-424 application interface for the 2408 - and make sure it is set correctly... for example bank A - could be eight analog inputs - bank B - could be 8 optical .... etc...

- then - in logic - make sure that your audio hardware preferences have a maximum of at least 16 channels

- then - go to your environment - audio window and create 16 audio tracks - and make the i/o/ INPUT 1 thru 16 - consecutively.

- the first eight should be the analog inputs
- the second eight - (9 - 16) and should be the optical inputs
