Forbes is known to be very anti-Apple.
That 32 bit support was going away started 10 years ago when Snow Leopard was written as the first all 64 bit OS. Two years ago, Apple started warning everyone. When you launched a 32 bit app, you were (vaguely) told it wasn't optimized for your system. Any small amount of searching months would have told you about Catalina dropping all 32 bit support.
The CS5 apps are 64 bit, but they use a lot of 32 bit dependencies for other parts. Anything from CS6 down is dead in Catalina.
Good luck with Windows. MS hinted about a year ago that Windows was also going to be 64 bit only in the future. They didn't say how long, but it's coming.
By the way, it’s not only me who complaint about Catalina....
Best
Well, but in the end I think it´d be better going back to windows. For me it is not a very intelligent change in Mac Os upgrade...
This reminds me of all the reasons why I ditched Windows all those years ago. I'm now seriously looking at heading back.
Added to which the latest updates especially on the iPad are very flaky. A daily reboot is now part of the daily ritual required to overcome hangs.
Deja vu all over again.
Swimming out of a RIP current and finally reach the beach, then swimming back out to repeat that experience. I have used Windows, and I have been trapped in a RIP current, and neither are on my repeat experiences list.
Thanks
Best of luck with Windows.
No 32-bit applications are supported on Catalina. Upgrade to current Adobe software, or use Dreamweaver CS5 on an earlier version of macOS.
