Airdrop shows up on sidebar, but when I click it nothing happens. Wifi is on, bluetooth is on. I have a Macbook Pro Retina 13in Early 2015

It seems that Airdrop for files copied to the Mac BEFORE Catalina is installed works successfully - however any files copied to the Mac AFTER Catalina is installed do NOT Airdrop successfully.
Apple - please fix this major flaw asap.
Wow, another catalina bug. This is the worst OS by a mile. It reminds me of windows. Its riddled with bugs and everyone just finds a workaround. It killed my music library for 2 weeks and ground my mac to a halt with a memory leak. The good folks around here helped sort that out but silence from apple as usual. Just generic advice about reinstalling catalina. This weekend I also noticed activity monitor is broken. Now Airdrop. Nothing to do with my settings, I can send occasionally but its completely random. Usually says the mac is "waiting". These bugs are in core apple software, especially the music app which was touted as one of their key changes. Its so bad users are asking for iTunes back!
