I have been able to get audio streaming but it cuts in and out every 1-2 seconds. Pretty annoying.
I have the Phonak Audeo Marvels M90R. Coming from an iPhone 7 it worked just fine; before & after the iOS13 update. Works on my older iPhone 5s, iPad Air 2 and my wife’s old iPhone 7(still running iOS12.something)
I had already contacted Phonak and they state that the iPhone 11’s have trouble connecting to the Bluetooth 4.2. Whatever right?
Here is what I did to get a tab bit of sound to come through. Keep in mind I have a pair of backup hearing aids that are ReSound’s MFi. Super easy and that’s what I’m currently using on the iPhone 11 in the meantime. Phonak’s are Bluetooth only.
Steps:
1) Erase all bluetooth profiles (Forget) for Phonak in settings.
2) Forget devices in Phonak App.
3) In “Accessibility - Hearing Aids” check the “Hearing Aid Compatibility”(make sure it’s ON).
4) Turn OFF phone and let sit in OFF for 1min.
5) Turn phone ON.
6) Make sure Bluetooth is ON
7) Open Phonak Remote App and proceed to pair your hearings aids in App. Not Bluetooth yet.
8) Once you successfully pair Phonak hearings aids in App, verify they function.
9) Now head over to “General - Bluetooth.”
10) Turn Bluetooth OFF, wait 10 seconds and turn the Bluetooth ON.
11) You should already see Two Profiles for Phonak; a “L-Phonak” and “R-Phonak”. That was from the pairing with the Phonak Remote App.
12) After turning Bluetooth ON from Step(10), your phone should see another “R-Phonak” profile to connect to. Pair it.
I have reset my phone a dozen times and it worked for me. should work for you.
Again, the sound cuts in and out but it’s connected.
The reason I know that it has to be an Apple issue is when a “Emergency Broadcasting ALERT” started blowing sound through my Phonaks and it streamed perfectly.
At this point I’m not sure what to do since everything points to Apple.
