Update 4.0.1 Is Available

i will wait till tomorrows announcement and also people trying it .. what if it wipes off my whole iphone ! preparing everyone for a recall ? I am scared.

A developers beta of iOS 4.1 (not 4.01) is available, if you are a developer.

Yeah, I meant to reply to cgarre, in case he wanted to wait for 4.1. All 4.01 is put on the new formula for reception bars, it isn't going to fix any reception problems. Hope people realize that.

The installer also has the ambiguous description of "bug fixes and improvements in cluding the following....."

So there leaves room for possible other fixes and improvements besides the reception algorithm change.

Well, it then goes on to describe the changes. There is only one listed.

I wonder how long before the first post that says "4.0.1 broke my phone!"

If you read the release notes, that is the only thing listed as changed. Make the bar display more accurate.

I'll give it a try now and let everyone know.

Many were posting that it was 4.1 earlier this morning, however this doesn't follow Apple's updating schedule which would be a first even if it were true. Since we know it's 4.0.1 it'll still be the same schedule.

June 17/21 - x.0
today apparently instead of July 31 - x.0.1
September - x.1
October/November - x.1.2
January/February - x.1.3

2.0 had 2.2 and 2.2.1 but followed the same two last periods in November and January, 2.1 followed September.
