Disabling swipe right to Safari app

I can’t stand accidentally swiping from left to right, which typically takes you to Safari. I found this most frustrating when working for DoorDash, where you must swipe left-right to complete your delivery and this feature would prevent/interrupt.

Thks can be disabled by going to:

  • Settings
  • Accessibility
  • Touch
  • 3D and Haptic Touch
  • Disable the setting

I’m using an iPhone 8 on 13.1.1. I can recreate 100% of the time. Open some app other than safari and press down against the screen on the far left edge of the phone. (You should get haptic feedback) then just swipe right and it’ll pull over the safari app on top of your app. (Similar to going back/forward a webpage in safari, which doesn’t need haptic).

if it doesn’t happen to you, maybe you already have it disabled. I just turned it back on and can recreate at will . Very annoying, turned it right back off!!
