Bin instead of trash

Being English I have always found issue with Apple using 'trash' but as they are American I have let it go!

I now find in Catalina that I send unwanted files to the 'bin', after getting used to trash for so many years; I don't like the use of the word bin, despite it being an English thing. Does it change depending on where you are from? This needs further investigation.

It's a language thing. If you use UK English as your Primary you get bin.

If you use US English as your Primary you get trash. A small change in the OS but very noticeable if you having been using a mac for a gazillion years and gotten used to trash. I think I'd prefer Rubbish to Bin, but I'll get used to it.
