Logitech Keyboard K520 not functioning

Dear Catalina users,

I upgraded my MBP mid-2015 to Catalina without ANY (and I mean that...ZERO) issues!

Except this one: my keyboard...

I have a Logitech K520 keyboard and a Logitech M570 Mouse. The mouse runs flawless, but the keyboard does nothing.

I upgraded all the software as per Logitech's support page,

https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/

And, I also have a mid-2010 MBP running High Sierra; both the mouse & keyboard run on that w/o any issue.

What I suspect is quite possibly the K520 is simply out-of-date..?

I made a purchase of the Logitech MX Keys Keyboard (expected to arrive on Friday). Hopefully this new keyboard will work.

Anyone else have this issue? Like I said, the mouse is fine, it is the keyboard that is non-operational.

Kindly advise.

Thank you in advance,

Merl1n

Good morning,

UPDATE: I wound up taking chance, and did a System restore (Option-Clover-R) for Catalina.

BOTH the Mouse & Keyboard are functioning 100%.

So, this might be solution for others with the same problem in Catalina.

Cheers!

Sorry...I meant to restore Catalina.

I am running an MBP mid-2015. I did an initial installation of Catalina w/o issue; only the keyboard was giving me problems.

Was working w/Logitech for a few days on this, when it came to me in a dream (seriously!) to perform a restore for Catalina. The option-clover-R protocol seems to allow your system to run the latest macOS that it can run (in my case, 10.15).

I had everything saved, so I figured it was worth a risk; if it didn't work, I had Mojave (via Time Machine) as a fall-back.

And none of my apps were lost. Some preferences, yes, but not the apps.

Fyi, I also have CleanMyMac (HIGHLY recommend, btw). I had it clear-out my 32-bit apps before going to 10.15.

Hope this helps.

Mr_Plates, have you tried the restore function (Option-Clover-R) for Catalina? After doing what I posted, both keyboards (and mouse) are running fine. My MX Keys is not being recognized by the Logitech software, but for now I can live with it until a patch comes out...soon, I hope.

You shouldn't need to roll back to Mojave but have that as a last-ditch resort, imho.

Oddly enough, most of my function keys work (backlight, volume), but the monitor dimming ones does not.

I am running a 32-inch Dell off my MBP, so having the keyboard/mouse function is pretty important (by keeping my MBP closed).

Let us know how things go.

Update: I purchased the MX Keys keyboard.

The layout is very nice, however...

I setup the MX Keys keyboard, but now only the function keys are responding.

No other keys are working.

And when I use the external monitor, the F1 and F2 do not respond. All other function keys respond.

I downloaded the updater from the link below, and no change. The keyboard does not respond (only the function keys).

I am considering-sadly-on going back to Mojave until this matter is resolved.
