How much does it cost to repair the shell of MacBook Pro 2017?

The area below the screen has been broken because a little sand grain had stuck here when I was closing the MacBook. The part of the metal is also somewhat deformed. The screen is unaffected.

Is it possible for me to get free repairs? The MacBook is still covered by AppleCare.

That is the older regular Applecare (in the US, the current only available product is the Applecare + which does cover accidental damage). The older product does not include accidental damage, so it would depend entirely on how Apple sees the cause of the damage. Best to have it evaluated at the Genius Bar (no charge); they will let you know what your options are and how much it would cost. Remind them that you have Applecare and simply ask politely if that might be covered.....
