since upgrading to Mac os Catalina system preferences keeps wanting me to sign in with my Apple ID as some services will not be available to me until I do, I sign in and 2 mins later its asking again this has happened continuously since upgrading. Any help will be appreciated.

What worked for me was using the 'Sign Out' button in the bottom left. Once I then signed back in, that error message was gone.
Signing out and back in "seemed" to work. what I found, anytime
I unlocked and iDevice, it would trigger the notification. It was
100% repeatable. Unlock my. iPhone, within seconds a notification
badge.
After much playing around, the solution I found was disable "Find My iMac",
which was the computer that kept hassling me. I did that and
no more stinking badges.
