I bought a $20 Tendak USB 3.0 HUB so that my iPad Pro first generation could read a storage USB, and I was thinking of using it with my larger external hard drives. I turned my iPad off before ejecting since there is no way to safely eject from the iPad, but then when I used that storage USB on my desktop it had trouble ejecting. Do I need to format the flash stick USB to Journaled or APFS or something? I’m concerned this will also hurt my iPad, which is already 4 years old. Thanks for any advice about this!

Hello,

iPad does not require for an external device to be ejected prior to disconnection.
