Long-press the document > Tap Markup.

You may need to scroll down to bottom of the list of actions to enable Markup.
Thank you for responding so quickly, although not working for me.
I must be doing something wrong, still isn’t working. I don’t have the choice to “mark up”.

Let’s try this, with the document full sized in Noted tap the action button (square button with upward facing arrow) > Markup.
