How can I stop the beeping all the time my iPad is trying to charge?

Have you tried using a different USB lead or power transformer?

I was in a hotel and used their special charger...plugging the usb end in without the plug. When I used the plug, into a regular outlet it quit.
how do I make my IPad stop beeping? I have shut it down, turned off sound but it still beeps.
