Delete memoji or hide

Hello EndOfCheetah and welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I understand that you’d like to remove Memojis from your iPhone. You can remove the Memoji Stickers, and the Animoji option from your iMessage apps. Just follow the steps below:

1 - Follow the steps under,  “Manage iMessages apps,” to remove the Animoji and Memoji Stickers from the “Favorites” section:

2 - With the apps showing under the “More Apps” section, please follow the steps under “Delete iMessage apps” from the same article used in step 1 above.

Once you've removed them from Favorites, follow the process for deleting iMessage apps outlined here:

Use iMessage apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

1) Open Messages.

2) Start a new message. Or go to an existing conversation.

3) Swipe left over the app drawer and tap more icon.

4) Swipe left over the app, then tap Delete.

I totally agree. Ugly, stereotype, and resent changing spelling and punctuation of names. I don't need it making Becca, Becky, Rebecca, all REBECCA. I prefer to use my natural intelligence for spelling and capitalization decisions.

This doesn’t remove them from the favorites. Nothing seems to work, including a restart of the phone. I truly despise these and need a real delete, lol.

The Animoji and Memoji are still there!
