mac folder problem

Dear all

It may seem a silly question but it is really bothering me

When I open my files on the mac , I have other side just below the search on the menu bar , I don't want it

as you see in the attachment.

I just want to open my folder and see all the files without dividing it into 2 parts

I would greatly appreciate any help

Finder menu > View > Hide Sidebar.

In my opinion it might help doing the following:

click the Apple menu (icon top left on the menu bar),

select "ForceQuit",

select "Finder",

then "relaunch".

(this "resets" the finder).
