My photos have already been reprocessed in Sierra and other upgrades and now we have to wait thru this again???
Did it crash yours, or like most of us, and as with all OS upgrades, just use some extra cpu til it has finished?
Leave Photos and Music open overnight and let it run is my advice.
If photoanalysisd operates like it did in previous versions you actually need to CLOSE the app for it to operate and complete its work. When the app is open photoanalysisd actually STOPS processing.
Ask for your money back.

It would seem so from 2 machines I have upgrade to 10.15.0
You may be right. Maybe why mine wakes up warm after a night's sleeping.
Something about Catalina that runs warmer than anything since several OS versions.
