Is anyone aware of a codec for raw images taken on a Canon G5X Mark II? I cannot open raw images in Photos.....

Which system version is installed on your Mac? The RAW format of Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II is already supported on OS 13, iPadOS 13, and macOS Catalina.

To get the RAW support in Photos and Preview upgrade your Mac to Catalina, if your Mac is compatible with this system, see: Digital camera RAW formats supported by iOS 13, iPadOS 13, and macOS Catalina - Apple Support

Thanks for the tip! I did what you suggested and the camera that I have recently purchased is not listed (Canon Powershot G5X Mark II), so I guess I'll have to wait till Apple adds that camera for raw support, or find another editing software that already supports this new Canon. I like shooting in raw for the obvious reasons but I guess I'll just have to wait on Apple......no telling how long that will be. Unless there is some sort of work-a-round......
