Where did the Column Browser (aka List View) option go in the new Music app (formerly iTunes)?

What happened to Column Browser (List View) user interface in the Apple Music App (formerly iTunes)? Column Browser was the column user interface that made it simple and easy to navigate a large music library by Genre, Artist and Album. In Apple Music it appears to be gone. If that's not the case can someone explain how to turn it back on? If it was truly removed it's a major step backward for the simplicity of the interface.

Thanks

You've not missed an option. Neither the column browser nor the ability to enable album artwork in the songs/list view have been brought into the new app. Use Product Feedback - Apple to share your thoughts with Apple.

No link that I am aware of. Mostly because Apple doesn’t officially talk about new features in beta versions. But several beta testers have confirmed it is back in 10.15.2 which will be the next release of Catalina. When you have several Hollywood directors on twitter complaining about the column browser missing, it is no shocker that Apple listened.

The column browser has been removed and that is a major deal breaker for me. I had to roll back to Mojave and I will not switch over to Catalina until Apple adds the column browser back. I have 25K+ songs and I need that feature. If Apple decides to never add that feature back, I will switch back over to Windows 10 and run Itunes there. I don't mind splitting everything up into 3 apps. I have nothing against change. But when Apple removes something and doesn't give us a better option, then I have a problem.

Very poor decision, feedback submitted though I am not optimistic Apple will pay heed. I'm a former Apple employee (1991-1997) and am increasingly disappointed in their failure to incorporate user input when considering sweeping changes like this. As an iTunes user for 20+ years, I identified this omission immediately. I understand the Music app has branched off from the iTunes code, but there is little to no reason to omit this feature that I can see based on my experience with programming. It relies on existing meta tag data and UI elements, should not have been a big deal to carry this functionality forward. It would seem the dev team missed this in migration, fell short on time, and/or was tone-deaf to how real-world users use this app. Very unfortunate.

I totally agree. Whoever made that stupid decision obviously needs to go.

It made iTunes bearable, but now I am starting to look into other apps, something I’ve never considered before,

They have removed View Artwork too We can no longer use the Remote App to control the music or Tv app on the Mac like we could on iTunes

More annoying is that none of these changes are mentioned anywhere on Apple’s website to warn us before upgrading. It’s unprofessional
