My child can't backup iPhone

My child's iPhone is on family account. Her iCloud access is off. So, she can't backup her iPhone. How do we turn on this feature?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! I understand you have some questions about backing up to iCloud. I definitely want to make sure your whole family is able to safely back up their data, and I'm happy to help.


To make adjustments to her iCloud settings, on her device go to Settings > [Her Name] > iCloud. From there, you can scroll down and ensure that "iCloud Backup" is enabled, and make changes to any other content you/she wants to store in iCloud. You can see more about Family Sharing and iCloud, and iCloud back ups in the links below.
