iPad Safari tabs keep closing whilst browsing since latest iOS update - So annoying, please help

Hi,

I have an iPad 11 pro and stupidly downloaded the latest iOS 13 update despite people warning not to last week. All my open tabs are closing every couple of days and then out of no where my list of say 10 open tabs from 4 days ago suddenly reappear when I open up Safari during another session and then they might be gone again the next visit and then appear again two days later. It is so annoying and I have never had this issue with tabs. I went into the settings and I have my closing tab option as “Manual” but still no difference. Please can someone tell me what is going on and how I can correct this issue or is it something Apple is aware of and an update to fix this issue is being worked on.

Regards.

If you have verified that the tab-closure setting is set to manual, then a forced restart of your iPad may resolve the issue. If not, then resetting all settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings) should resolve the problem. Resetting settings will reset all system settings to default. You may have to re-enter your mailbox information, but this reset will not endanger your data.

If resorting to the latter, do not select Erase all Content and Settings - as this would erase everything including your data.

If, having tried the suggestion, you still cannot resolve the problem - I suggest you contact Apple Support directly using the link at top-right of this page. Hopefully they’ll be able to guide you through to a fix for your issue.

You may need to choose one of the “something-else” categories to rapidly get to a Support Agent, but you’ll get there if you try.

Best of luck.
