Jan 16, 2015 6:38 AM in response to ScOttRaby sparrowz, just send it to yourself in an email, then open the email on your phone, download the attachment, hold your finger on it for a couple of seconds until the option "save to camera roll" comes up and voila!

Jan 18, 2015 5:17 PM in response to ScOttRaby kubernak,It requires a bit of extra work, but I found a way to do it. I guess the key to doing this is to have the video in the correct format.
---
-1) First, be sure the video is in a format that is designed for iOS devices. (This is where most of the work is found to be) In my case, I used a video I made myself in Vegas Movie Studio. I took the old video which I rendered originally for YouTube and re-rendered it in a pre-set format and codec for what's labelled as "iPad/iPhone 4 720p". I imagine virtually any editor can output to a format like this as long as you are given an option to change.
(What follows has probably been said before, but I'm saying it here just in case)
-2) Next, attach the file in an email to yourself. In my case, there was a 25MB limit, so if your file ends up being too big, try lowering the resolution or trimming down the length somehow. I have found that manually adding the file to the device via plugging it into a computer does not work in ANY case.
-3) Open the email on your iOS device, and it should automatically start to download.
-4) When it's finished downloading, open the video in the email, and click the icon in the bottom left that looks like a square with an arrow protruding from the top (I don't know what its official name is). This should give an option to save the video. Tapping that will place the video in your camera roll.

If this doesn't work for you, I don't know what will. :\

Feb 3, 2015 8:46 AM in response to ScOttRaby lankassck,Yes. and this works.
go to the place in your pc that you have synchronized your photos. there is your albums, right. like wallpapers and all. create a folder there (for me it named to be edited videos) and move the videos that you wanna edit or appear in camera roll. then sync. go to photos, there they are in the album and you can access in iMovies.

Mar 31, 2015 4:42 PM in response to ScOttRaby chlache,I use " PicBack - Photo Transfer App " it imports photos and videos directly To camera roll or you can choose transfer to an existing or a new album, and it can also find duplicated photos, very handy and very easy to use, you can find it at the app store
* works with a regular USB cable, which is 3x faster than WiFi transfer
Give that a try

Apr 11, 2015 3:46 PM in response to sparrowzby Wonkatron,- the reason I went to this post is searching a way to get a large video file to my camera roll on iphone. Emails have 25mb max.
To everyone on this forum,
- after trying a bunch of solutions, the one that finally works me is Dropbox. iTunes did not work because it kept telling me my device will not play it - and I've tried several formats.
- My question to Apple is, why was this so difficult to figure out? And so far, until I find something better, I'm using a 3rd party work-round. A simple getting a file to a device should not have a thread dedicated to figure out how to do this - it's a drag and drop.
- Maybe I'm alone in this, but the frustration in doing such a simple thing is what compelled me to post this.
Anyways, at least I'm happy I found something to work!
ENJOY THE REST OF YOUR DAY!!!

Apr 26, 2015 4:11 PM in response to Wonkatronby riqiv,It should be easier: I used iMazing for this. And the Video Camera app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/video-camera+/id441433868?mt=8
has the ability to Copy to Camara Roll. It's a dollar.
Open iMazing http://imazing.com/download (don't buy the game) and I go to the the Video Camera icon the left-hand menu. A huge window is on the right side and you can drop & drag your movie into the window and it'll be in the Video Camera app on your iPhone.
Open the movie and in the Video Camera app and in the bottom right is an icon to share. Copy to Camera Roll.
It's a workaround, and hopefully will work a year from now :-)

Apr 28, 2015 3:39 PM in response to chlowdenby zzghost,I have been using Dropbox as the middleware as Dropbox will convert your files for you. Simply upload to dropbox from your PC. Then (this part *****) one at a time export from dropbox to your device. It will ask you if you want to convert, click yes.

Apr 28, 2015 3:53 PM in response to zzghostby riqiv,Yes ZZ, nice!
Open the Video in Dropbox and push the Share button and then Save Video and it's saved to Photo app on iPhone > Camera Roll.
That works too :-)

May 24, 2015 1:30 PM in response to ScOttRaby mattnish,The dropbox or email solution totally works in most cases. If you happen to be on terrible Internet or are lacking internet/phone service altogether, another solution is to have your phone and computer on the same wifi network and merely Airdrop the file to your phone.
Simply swipe up to see your control panel on your phone and enable Airdrop. If there's no internet, create a wifi network from your computer and join it with your phone. Super fast, and no data usage on your phone.

May 26, 2015 1:24 PM in response to ScOttRaby JKChauhan,Late reply, but I've found the best way to do it on a windows computer is to save the videos on your computer into your pictures folder.
Then make a folder with all your videos you would like in your camera roll.
Open itunes up and then go to the tab for your iphone/ipod.
click on the photo tab on left hand side in the sync settings.
Tick include videos and then find the folder with all the videos inside.
sync phone/ipod and they should all show up in your camera roll to use on imovie

May 27, 2015 1:46 PM in response to mattnishby riqiv,Odd, I've never been able to use AirDrop, it should be clearer. Ive got wifi, bluetooth and airdrop enabled for Contacts on my iPhone and the AirDrop logo when pressed on phone, does nothing. (This is after tapping the "share" button on iPhone and having Airdrop open on the Finder on my iMac.) And yet I can message or mail a video from the same window.

Jun 15, 2015 5:52 PM in response to ScOttRaby Xyyy99,FINALLY FIGURED THE QUICKEST SOLUTION FOR THIS.
1. On your PC, make a folder that contains the video/s you want to transfer into your Camera Roll.
2. Mix some pictures in it, 2-3 will do. (Note: Don't put in too much pictures because you'll have to sync the whole folder later on.)
3. Sync your iPhone to iTunes.
4. On the "User's iPhone," select the Photos tab under Settings.
5. Check Sync Photos.
6. Click Copy photos from, then locate and select the folder where you saved the video. (Note: The one you made from Step 1.)
7. Back to iTunes, you'll see the second box that has All folders, Selected folders, and Include videos. Check the Include videos selection.
8. Finally, SYNC and wait.
9. Unplug your iPhone and check your Camera Roll.
10. Find to see the video you transferred. (I found mine in the Videos folder.)
11. See magic.
IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, PLEASE REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE. I'D BE REALLY GLAD TO HELP YOU.

Jul 1, 2015 8:45 PM in response to Xyyy99by kalulax,Hi! ... I tested with a 2.5 MB video and worked, however I also did it with a 120 MB (the one that I really need) but didn´t worked out,I thought it could be due to a lack of free space but it has plenty of it. Is there any size restriction using your solution? Greetings
