iPad and iMessages

Hi, I only want to send and receive iMessages and SMS’s on my iPhone, my iPad is for work and not a leisure device.

I’m aware of how to turn off iMessages, but frustratingly launching the message app allows people to see in the background, even if not signed in.

Hopefully this picture can explain better?

Hi, last time I tried that it deleted all the messages on my iPhone too which was annoying.

So, I've just tried it again, I deleted all the messages on my iPad and I've signed out of iMessage.

But I have the same result, all my iMessages have been deleted from my iPhone, the only texts left on the phone are from people sending/receiving traditional SMS messages.

So yes the iPad is now clear, which is great, but so is my phone, not so great.

This seems to be such a stupid oversight, iPad Pro, a business tool showing off private text messages.

Lessen to be learned here is don't sign into iMessage on your iPad I suppose.
