I do not have the monkey on my menu bar on either my iPhone 8+ and iPad Pro. The previous explanation does not help as I have no idea how to search ‘iMessage apps’ the screen used does not seem to apply to me. Thanks

Hello, Superchiquita.

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

From what I understand is that you don't have Animojis on your iPhone or iPad Pro. I'd like to share some information on this that will help you: How to use Animoji on your iPhone and iPad Pro

"To use Animoji, you need an iPhone X or later, or an iPad Pro 11-inch or iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation) or later. Find out if your device is compatible".

This would explain why your iPhone 8 Plus doesn't have the Animoji. For your iPad Pro, find out which model you have: Identify your iPad model If you don't have the compatible iPad Pro model, then not having the Animoji is expected.

You can, however, use Memoji, which are not animated. For more information on that, check out this resource: How to use Memoji on your iPhone or iPad Pro

I hope this helps.

Cheers!
