Sidecar Vertical?

Does anyone know if sidecar works vertically?

Hello,

Sidecar will only work with iPad in landscape orientation.

Man, would love for Apple to add the ability to use it vertically. I have a 12.9" Pro and it'd be incredibly useful for everything from Slack messages to writing code.
