can i still display songs in Apple Music library by date ( the date purchased or selected ) ??
Sure.
That "column" is not displayed by default but can easily be enabled by right-clicking on the column headers when viewing your library by songs and selecting whatever column you want to display - of which "Purchase Date" is one of them.
