Has Apple removed Taiwan Flag from the emoji icon tab?

It has been removed on iPhones set to mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. It is still available everywhere else unless you set your iPhone to those regions.

Proving that the region on your iPhone is not set to mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau.
Indeed it does. Wasn't aware that it's not available if one's region is China, Hong Kong or Macau, but given China doesn't recognize Taiwan, it's not surprising.
I had to go look to see what it looks like and it's included in my emoji's. It's pretty far back in the flags.
Only when the iPhone's region is set to China, Hong Kong, or Macau.
