After I upgraded my MacBook Pro to macOS Catalina the Acrobat Reader was not working to I Down loaded Acrobat Reader DC from Adobe Site but even that does not work. Every time I try to open a pdf document it says Acrobat reader quit unexpectedly. I hope some one has a solution to this.
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC v,19.012.20040 should be working in Catalina. Is that the version you have? Does Preview open the PDF?
Yes there is a new version. Thanks. I don't know why it's not working. It works fine here. See if it works in a different user account. It may be some sort of corruption in your normal account.
Have now downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader DC v 2019.021.20047 although it appears to be for iOS 10.12-10.14 (i.e. not 10.15) but it does seem to be functioning. Thanks.
I don't remember where I found it, but I have version 19.021.20048, and it works with Catalina.

The error message says "Acrobat reader quit unexpectedly" Yes Preview opens all the pdf files.
