How to access external hard drive remotely

Hi

Can anyone one advise how I can access a hard drive remotely?

I have a Lacie 6TB hard drive plugged into my Mac Mini (2018 model) at home which contains all of my photos. What I would like to do is to access this hard drive using my Macbook Air when I am away from home. Can anyone advise me how to do this?

you can setup your computer to act as ftp server

or as vpn gateway and share the disk
