stolen phone

my phone got stolen, i turned it on lost mode and erased the contents of the phone. i was wondering if they can still use the phone after i erased it. the phone is still under my apple id, i believe so. when i go into my settings i still have the phone under my info but when i go into find my iphone it is no longer there

Erasing your iPhone remotely makes it inaccessible Find my iPhone.


Someone cannot use your iPhone due to the activation lock. If someone tries to use your iPhone they will need to enter in your Apple ID and password first.
