$223 NOT $79 for out of warranty battery replacement?

I was given a confusing run around on the phone with Apple support and they keep telling me I need to pay $223 for a battery replacement for my Series 1 watch even though Apple's official page states that the "Battery service fee (out of warranty)" is $79 for "All eligible Watch models".

Is this correct? Either multiple Apple support employees are really misinformed or their policy on the website is terribly misleading.

I'm curious if anyone else has had a Series 1 watch battery service done recently and if they were charged $223?

Thanks for the comments. I still have the watch and have been asking about how to send it in for *only* battery replacement service. I've told them about their own page on battery replacement fee and they know that there is no damage to the watch, and yet multiple support people keep insisting that they charge $223 to simply replace the Apple Watch battery when out of warranty. There is no question of it needing additional work. It's surprising how bad Apple support has gotten recently. They need to improve their training or something.
