my old epson printer quit working .... bought a new one and only got my imac to recognize it once but it said badfiledescription .... now i cant get the epson software to load from their website .... WF-2830 is my new printer
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
thank you so much for your help!! ended up buying a new imac which i was going to do anyway .... and the **** printer still would not load ..... ended up going the route of entering the IP address of the printer and it showed up Boom!!
So Load the IP address of the Printer!!
Oh no, I wouldn't trust those sights to get into your computer remotely, there may be some good ones, but far too many shady ones.

i finally got the software to load on my imac .... printer finally shows up under system preferences .... but when i click on it it says ..... an error occurred while trying to add the selected printer
i get my printer to show up now under the plus sign of add a printer ..... but when i click on it all i get is " an error occurred while trying to load the printer "
should i pay one of those pay sites that say they can fix the problem? thinking of just getting a new imac as mine is a 2010 model
