I want to capitalize a word after I’ve typed it, I can’t just highlight it and hit the shift button

Since I’ve updated my phone to the new iOS 13, I’ve noticed that if I want to capitalize a word after I’ve typed it, I can’t just highlight it and hit the shift button. I have to actually go to the letter and erase it and type it in. Have I missed something?

I've been wondering the same thing. Have you discovered a solution?

I discovered that you can still convert a word into all caps by placing the cursor in front of the word, double tapping the shift key, and then highlighting the word.

I can't figure out a way to do something similar just to change a word from lowercase to uppercase.
